Getting Started

The Site Administration area is where you create and edit the structure of your website. In this area you can: create new pages and sub-pages; access the pages you wish to edit; change the order of pages; and delete any unwanted pages.

Every new website will start with the Home Page already setup in the Site Administration area, but no other pages.

To add a new page, click on the folder icon next to where it says "Home"; the " Add Page" icon will then appear beneath the home page. After that, click on the "Text Editor" icon to the left of "Add Page". More pages can be added in the same way; there is no limit to the number of pages that can be added.

Once a new page has been added, you will enter the Page Administration Area text editor. Information about the new page will need to be entered in the fields at the top of the page.

1. Enter the Name of the new page as it will be shown at the top of the page on the final site.

2. Enter the title of the page. The title is the information that will appear at the very top of the screen above the file menu, and is for site admin purposes only.

3. Enter keywords for the page. Keywords are Meta tags, words that search engines pick up when people search for information: for example, having "football" as a keyword will help your site appear in a search engine list when anyone searches for "football".
Entering keywords will not guarantee a high search engine ranking, but it will definitely help.

4. Finally, fill in the description field. A description is a single sentence that describes the page's contents. The description box is similar to the keywords box as it is also used by search engines to find sites.

The page content can then be typed or copy and pasted into the text box. Click on "Add Page" to save the new page.
